PHASE 2 ROUTE (see dotted line)
Phase 2 of the waterway will complete the enlargement of the existing channel to navigable standard through the north of Maidenhead, linking to the Thames via Widbrook/White Brook near Cliveden Reach.
The enlarged channel would have a potential role as part of the Environment Agency flood relief plans, when operated in conjunction with the main Thames and Jubilee rivers.
